Tod Almighty

About us

Tod Almighty is a vegan wholefoods shop on Rochdale Road in Todmorden, just across the road from the Golden Lion pub. We are stuffed to the gunnels with (almost) everything you need for a healthy diet and an ethical lifestyle, including a good range of organic fruit and veg.

All our fruit and veg is Organic. Our main supplier is Organic North in Manchester, which has a policy of using produce from as close as possible when available and spreading the net wider to include Europe and the wider world only when and if necessary. In the summer almost all of our produce is from the UK except for things that cannot (yet) be grown in this country, like avocados, citrus and bananas. As well as Organic North, we also use Organic Pantry, from Tadcaster in Yorkshire, and then more local small suppliers, especially Will from The Long Causeway Market Garden (up the road in Cornholme), who supplies us with salad leaves virtually the whole year round, plus lots of other produce during the summer months. Our bread comes from The Crust, an authentic Polish sourdough bakery in Bacup. Most of the products in our grocery section are organic, and we stock as many fairly traded items as we can. We have many other local suppliers to the shop.

We look forward to picking up our box each week. We always get a good range of veg and it helps us to eat an interesting and varied diet. It also means we don't have to decide what veg to buy or to remember to buy it!
